SRS Cleaning Equipment began by supplying steam cleaners and pressure washers to local businesses, where hygiene and reliability were critical. From the outset, the standard was simple: equipment had to work every time.
By the late 1980s, SRS had expanded into heavy-duty industrial floor cleaning machines, the sweepers and scrubber dryers that define our business today. That evolution set the foundation for the modern SRS: applying the same no-nonsense reliability to advanced industrial equipment used in demanding environments nationwide.

Building a national network
In the 2000s and early 2010s, a shift in supermarket construction created an opportunity. Following the global recession, retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Aldi realised that polished concrete was more cost-effective than traditional flooring. A nationwide rollout began, and demand for diamond-polishing equipment surged.
SRS became a key partner in that movement, with our Walk Behind Scrubber Dryers being the machines of choice. Transporting, servicing and repairing dozens of heavy-duty floor cleaning machines per day across the country required us to build a true national service network, and it’s this infrastructure that remains the backbone of our business today.

Our large, modern fleet of branded logistics and service vehicles operate daily across the UK, supporting thousands of heavy-duty cleaning machines on SRS Flexi-Hire as well as Short-Term Rental and Outright Purchase. Every delivery, collection and service visit is handled by our own colleagues because quality and accountability go hand in hand.
We have fully stocked field engineers located in each key UK region, dedicated drivers keeping logistics flowing from our central distribution centre, and a team of experts in our workshops and offices coordinating maintenance, parts, sales, accounts and technical support. Together this creates a powerful nationwide network that delivers rapid response, exceptional first-fix rates and industry leading uptime.
Built for the Long Term
With experience, we saw that selling machines often wasn’t the most cost-effective route for our customers. In heavy industrial environments equipment corrodes, wears and fails, and downtime quickly becomes a real and unpredictable cost.
This understanding led us to develop SRS Flexi Hire, our rolling long-term hire model that removes the burden of ownership. It is only made possible because we run national logistics, regional engineer teams, a surplus fleet and a deep parts network built over decades of discipline and investment. This strength lets us deliver a fully managed-service approach that puts our customer first with quality cleaning machines, high uptime, full servicing and fast support for a simple monthly fee.
